Our Instant National Criminal Search is among the best values in the background check business.
Our system searches more than 175 different public data sources in an effort to provide you with the most cost effective
search available to the general public. Our Instant National Criminal Search relies upon information forwarded from the
various States and/or their Counties, and on records from previous searches that found criminal convictions. In some cases,
the difficulty with data base searches is that some Counties do not forward all criminal records to the State
(via oversight, legal requirements, or otherwise), some States do not participate or only partially participate,
then there may be no records found in the Instant National Criminal Search. If you prefer to have a professional
search through the large volume of information and select the records that apply to your subject, please
order a "National Criminal" search and our Search Specialists will assemble and return the information you need.
County Criminal Record Search
Reports criminal records (felonies and/or misdemeanors) from individual county courts, multiple-county metro areas, in the selected jurisdiction. This is usually the best search source, as any county will have records of all the convictions in that county.
Statewide Criminal Search
Most states can have their Department of Corrections records searched to find if a subject has been in DOC custody, including incarceration or state supervised probation. This search is useful in finding records of those subjects that lived in one county, but were convicted of a crime in another county. In some states, counties submit criminal data to a state repository. The data submitted varies by state – some states collect all data from all counties, some states collect only felony conviction data, and other states may include arrest data. However, some counties may not provide any data to the state or when they do, the state may not enter the data in a timely manner.
Motor Vehicle Report (MVR, or Driving Record)
Obtaining a Motor Vehicle History report on prospective employees is a good way to protect your company from liability issues in regards to your drivers. Driving record searches normally provide 3 years of driving history including traffic violations, accidents, and other moving offenses and convictions-and identify licenses that are restricted, suspended, or revoked.
Education Verification
A company giving hiring preference to anyone based on educational achievement should verify at least the highest level of education claimed by the applicant. I-NEX will confirm the dates of attendance and degrees earned by the applicant at claimed institutions, including high school, college, or trade school. We will document the name and title of the individual who provided the information. This service verifies attendance and or graduation for any education institution located within the United States.
Employment Verification
An applicant’s current and past employment, job title, duties, and dates of service should be verified to establish that the applicant has the work experience needed for the position. Inaccurate dates of employment often conceal a lack of work experience.
Professional License Verification
Confirming the accuracy of an applicant's professional licensing insures that you hire only those that have the required licenses; I-NEX can verify the status, date of issue, renewal and expiration dates, and disciplinary action incurred.
Credit Report
Credit Reports may verify the name, address, and Social Security number of the applicant. They may also include public record information such as judgments, liens, collections, and bankruptcies. Credit reports normally provide credit and payment history information. Excessive debt may be an inducement for theft, drug abuse, prostitution, and violence. The absence of a credit report may be indicative of a questionable background. The credit report may reveal an address history, and can indicate how responsible the subject has been in handling her/his financial affairs. This requires extra due-diligence and documentation prior to obtaining any credit reports.
